The "King Cake" takes its name from the biblical three kings. Epiphany, commonly known as Three Kings’ Day in the United States, is on January 6. It celebrates the three wise men’s visit to baby Jesus and also remembers his baptism, according to the Christian Bible’s events. It is customary to bake King Cakes during this time of the year. The season for King Cake extends from "Twelfth Night", up until "Fat Tuesday".
So . . . celebrate this Mardi Gras season in the comfort of your own home with our King Cake coffee and "Laissez le bon temps rouler" (Let the good times roll).

Moon Pies® - A Mardi Gras Tradition:
Perhaps the most popular edible item that gets chucked into the crowd during Mardi Gras parades is the "Moon Pie®”. As a relatively recent evolution of the long-standing "throws" tradition, this treat first entered the scene in Mississippi in the early 70's replacing the long standing Cracker Jack boxes being thrown. The Moon Pies® were affordable enough to give away and delicious to appeal to most everyone not to mention a safer, softer throw option.
The Moon Pie® is two soft graham cracker cookies sandwiching squishy-but-stable marshmallow filling, all enrobed in a thin, chocolaty shell. With this taste profile, we have carefully blended, by hand, these flavors into our organic coffee beans for our version. . . “Moon over Mardi Gras”.
